About
Scene in London was founded in 2019 by Samantha Foley, a designer with deep roots in South London. With a passion for art, design, and the diverse communities that make up the city, Samantha set out to create a business that celebrates the unique character of London's neighbourhoods.
A graduate of Camberwell College of Arts and Middlesex University, where she specialised in print design, Samantha has built over 15 years of experience in the design world. Her love for both art and her hometown fuelled the creation of Scene in London, a design studio dedicated to showcasing and celebrating the local gems that make each London neighbourhood distinct.
Celebrating Communities Through Design.
At the core of Scene in London is community. Samantha’s mission is to help people feel connected to the places they live. Whether it's championing key neighbourhood landmarks through art prints and greeting cards, delivering creative workshops to help bring communities together at local venues, or showcasing work at public markets. Samantha's work is designed to celebrate and support spaces all around the capital, cultivating a sense of pride for our neighbourhoods and hometowns– something she believes is crucial to forming happy and healthy communities.
A Growing Collection of London Art Prints.
The collection features artwork that spans across various boroughs, capturing iconic landmarks and the essence of each neighbourhood. The art prints serve as a reminder of the pride and love people have for their local areas and the collection is forever growing.
Samantha also offers custom commissions, creating artwork that is tailored to your specific vision or space. This service is popular with businesses looking for a particular art piece for their walls and for individuals looking for a special anniversary or housewarming gift.
Collaborating with Prestigious Institutions.
Samantha’s work has caught the attention of some of the UK’s most prestigious galleries and museums. She has had the privilege of working with The Royal Academy of Arts, The London Transport Museum, The British Museum, Dulwich Picture Gallery, and The Fashion and Textile Museum, London Design Festival, The Affordable Art Fair, and Stanley Arts, among others.
These partnerships reflect Samantha’s commitment to design, delivering projects that not only celebrate London’s rich history and culture but also contribute to its ongoing creative evolution.
Supporting Public Projects and Local Councils.
In addition to her work with galleries and creative spaces, Samantha has also been involved in several public projects. She has produced work for Wandsworth Council and Croydon Council, contributing to initiatives that promote local culture, community spirit, and a sense of place. Through these collaborations, Samantha’s designs have reached a wider audience, helping to shape and celebrate the communities that make London such a vibrant city.
