6 places you can hang your wall art in your home.

Where shall I hang my wall art at home?

You've bought a piece of art that you love and you just can't decide where to hang it up. Don't let that lovely artwork sit on a shelf unframed, and disappear behind books and plant pots. Make a decision and get that beautiful art piece framed up so you can adore it in your home, and give it the space it deserves :)

1. Hang your art prints in the hallway.

Large or colourful artwork looks great in the hallway for an immediate effect as you enter your home. Think about the orientation - whether your hallway will take a portrait or landscape art piece. If you have tall ceilings, I'd recommend making use of the height and going for a portrait piece. If you benefit from a long hallway, I'd say look at a landscape orientation to guide you through the space.

2. Kitchen art prints.

Kitchen art prints have become really popular and are a lovely way to add pops of colour and order to a space that can become quite chaotic. Placed on a work surface, shelf, or on the wall, a kitchen art print is a fun way of adding colour and style to your cooking space.

3. Hanging art in awkward spaces.

Areas above tables or awkward corner spaces benefit really well from having a framed art print. These are typical spaces in the home that often go unnoticed, but as soon as you frame a piece of art and hang it up, the area is completely transformed and becomes more interesting and welcoming.

4. Bedroom wall art.

Adding art prints to your bedroom wall creates a nice focal point. Prints with pops of colour are great to uplift the mood in the morning or hang artwork with memories to create a space for comfort and relaxation before going to sleep.

5. Art prints for the nursery or play room.

Wall art prints for the nursery, play room or kids bedroom can help to pull the colours of the room together. Play with primary colours to add a playful look, or add a neutral coloured print to a busy playroom to add a touch of elegance

6. Gallery wall at home.

Let's talk gallery wall! This is a great opportunity to tell your story with a wide range of art prints of different sizes. It's also the perfect way to fill a large space (where you might not want to commit to one large art piece) and is the ideal decorative solution if you have an awkward, uneven space. Build your gallery wall up with a few central pieces, and start to build around that collection with more artworks. This is your chance to mix and match, anything goes! Typography, photography, painterly designs, postcards and kids drawings - get them all up on the gallery wall for an exhibition of your memories and interests.
